About Me

Hello, my name is Paulo Rigter, I'm from Portugal, and I've always had a passion for coding. Started later, I'm my 30s, but I've been hooked ever since. I enjoy working on the frontend side, currently learning REACT. I am always eager to learn new things and grow as a developer. I've been learning NodeJS, Express, Mongoose, towards to make fullstack applications. When I'm not on the code editor, I enjoy time with my family, playing with my dog, meditate, excercise, playing tennis.

Waitlist Subscription

A simple Web App, connecting to a MySQL Database. Fetching for data (users) present in the Database, and displaying it on the homepage. With a form allowing new registrations.

What I learned
- Getting experience with Back-end: Node/Express
- Using REGEX, for email validation
- Connection with MySQL Database: ClearDB
Where in the World?

Integration with REST Countries API - Users should be able to:
- See all countries from the API & Filter countries by region
- Search for a country using an input field
- Click a country & get detailed info on a separate page
- Toggle the color scheme between light and dark mode

Battleship Game

A BattleShip Game based on "Head First Javascript Programming - O'Reilly" Book.

Restfull Gallery App

A Dog's photo Gallery App, getting familiar with RESTfull pattern. User can make new entries, edit existing posts, or delete, if they are logged in.
